In preparation for drafting your Will you need to give some thought regarding the following:-
Executors / Trustees
These are the people you choose to administer your estate and financial affairs after your death. Many people choose their spouse or partner. However you may wish to choose one or two others in the event that you do not have a partner or your partner does not survive you.
Guardians
If you have children under eighteen you will need to appoint people to have authority and responsibility for their welfare.
Beneficiaries
These are the people whom you wish to benefit from your estate after your death. This may be in the form of specific legacies of particular items or amounts of cash, or simply the net proceeds of your estate after testamentary expenses.
Funeral Wishes
Consider whether you would prefer your body to be BURIED or CREMATED.
Also, do you have any specific funeral requests?
Exclusions
All Wills can be contested. If there is anyone who you believe may attempt to claim to be a beneficiary, safeguards can be put in place to protect your genuine beneficiaries.
